About

Hi!

I am Diwa. A web designer, front-end developer, and graphic artist from the Philippines. I’d like to apologize if my grammar is not as good as a writer or an editor should be but I try my best. I live and breath on creating web sites; I am an avid gamer; and am highly caffeinated. I once again started venturing on being a freelancer. So, if you have a website that needs redesigning don’t hesitate to contact me. I also draw (a lot), if you wish to get a commission you only need to send me a note.

This web site was created and being maintained by yours truly.  I got exposed on the internet in 1997 and on 1998 my interest on making designs for websites grew as I started self-studying HTML back when I was still in college. I first got hired from a start up company called “pinoynet” when they saw my very first website in Geocities. I could say that that was the beginning of my career as a web designer. I’ve been working professionally on creating web, illustrations, and a little bit of programming since 2001.

My Alias

thePoet – is my alias on the net (a.k.a poetess). I used the alias poetess before but I corrected myself since there is no such thing as a poetess if you try to be politically correct.

You can follow my ramblings via your favorite RSS reader. I blog infrequently and about random topics, but I generally try to stick to topics about video game and/or web development.

The Site

It runs on WordPress, and is hosted with MSWEB Network. The theme is original, built with HTML5, CSS3 with Boostrap.LESS, and jQuery.

Before I used my real name for my personal site, I created the website called “PoeticPixel“. The PoeticPixel was my portfolio and personal playground wherein I put my selected works and some thoughts that I encounter from an almost everyday basis. The domain originally started as Poeticpixel.com – Art flair collaboration back in late 2002. It was a mix of modern graphic design and non-traditional illustrations, in full flash. Unfortunately, I had to discontinue it after three years since I wasn’t able to afford its growth and also I was not able to sustain the domain. Poeticpixel.com was truly graphic poetry at its best!
